ULTRA/DCG Dual Cure Emulsion for Solvent Ink
Preparation of Screen and Emulsion:
Apply two coats of ULTRA/DCG Dual Cure Emulsion on the squeegee side and two coats on the print side of the screen. Let the screen completely dry before exposure by placing the frame print side downwards. Expose the screen from the print side and wash it from the same side. Again, dry the screen entirely in a room with low relative humidity. If the relative humidity is over 65%, more exposure time is required, approximately 1.4 times. After washing the screen, make sure that the screen is fully cured. One way to find it is to rub the finger on the squeegee side and feel the sliminess. If any residual emulsion gets onto the finger, it shows the uncured emulsion- the exposure, in that case, should be increased. If some fine lines do not open or open with difficulty, it indicates over-exposure.
Exposure: The long distance from the exposure light to the screen, the colored mesh, higher humidity, and the thicker emulsion coating increase the exposure time. With one coat on each side, a distance of approximately 8" on a white 156 mesh, expose based on the following directions:
